Padfoot Learning Leads

Padfoot Learning Leads

from $30.00

Padfoot’s Learning Leads can be purchased as a discounted bundle ($50 for both a Learning Lead and a Long Line) - without the additional shipping cost - at your first class. If you’re desperate to purchase these plus shipping before your first class however, you are able to do so below (these are still cheaper and of much better quality than what is available in the pet shops).

Padfoot Learning Leads are made of double braid equestrian rope, making them the most durable leads available. They are hand-knotted and contain no metal parts (or invisible points of failure). They are soft, round and comfortable for your dog to wear.

If your dog pulls on the lead it will tighten, but loosens as soon as they release the pressure - this allows your dog to choose not to pull, and serves as a reminder if they forget!

In Queensland we take our dogs to the beach all the time. Padfoot Learning Leads are the best choice in this situation. Often, if a metal clip is used, it will become stiff and blocked by sand and sea water rendering it useless and dangerous for your dog as the clip may fail at the wrong time.

A video of how and why to use Padfoot Learning Leads is below.

Each lead is handmade in Queensland, Australia. Our leads are 15% cheaper than the most comparable alternative at PETBARN* or 10% at BestFriends*.

SAFE USAGE

Over time, all equipment can and will become weakened through use and exposure to the elements (or if they’ve been fiddled with by dogs, kids or curious husbands). It is your responsibility to ensure that any equipment you use is in good, safe working order before using it with your dog. Padfoot’s slip leads are easy to check as any points of weakness are easily visible - simply ensure that all knots are tight by pulling strongly against them in all directions, and by checking the integrity of the rope for wear and tear prior to use. In purchasing this equipment, you agree to indemnify Padfoot fully against any injuries or losses caused or contributed to by the failure of this equipment.
